There is a lot involved in developing a new product and typically the process takes around 9 months from first contact to launch.1. Customer provides a Brief and Benchmarks.2. Chemists develop prototype based on brief.3. Adjustments are made, based on customer feedback.4. Once the formulation is signed off by customer – Stability and Preservative Efficacy Testing are completed.5. Upon all Testing being completed and Passed; the customer can place an order.6. C+R will manufacture the product and Fill your packaging.

These organisations have the highest expectations and we are audited on a regular basis. We have kept all of our certifications for many years and we have extremely long relationships with the vast majority of our customers, which gives a strong indication of the quality of our formulating, manufacturing and packing.
Most projects will take 9 – 12 months. The project timeline will depend on the complexity of the project. Please use the timings below as a guide only.Development of new formulation: 3 – 4 months.Product Testing after sign off: 3 monthsOrdering/receiving ingredients after testing complete: 3 – 4 monthsSchedule a production date once all ingredients and all customer packaging is on site.Manufacture: 1 weekSend sample for Micro Testing: 2 weeksFill/Pack your product into your packaging: 1 week
Start ups: Manufacturing payment terms for Start-ups are 50% deposit invoiced and paidupon receipt of order. Balance paid prior to collection of your order.Established businesses: Generally 20 th of the month following completion of order. We may require a deposit in some circumstances.Lab Fees: Lab Fees are invoiced at the start of the project. Once paid, the project commences.
Lab Fees are on-charged based on the complexity of the project. If you would like a bespoke formulation developed for you, the Lab Fees are likely to be around $2000 per product.If you want to develop Makeup products that come in multiple shades, the Lab Fees are in 2 parts.Base Formulation development and Colour/Shade development. We are happy to discuss your specific project and provide an Estimate for the work involved.
Our MOQ is dependent on the type of product, the size of the vessel the product will be made in and the fill size of your packaging. Please use the details below as a guide only.- Skincare – 1500 units.- Cleaning products - 2500 units.- Makeup – 750 units.
While we do not supply packaging, we have strong relationships with many packaging suppliers and can refer you to relevant suppliers for the type of packaging you require.We recommend you start sourcing your packaging at the start of the project. The vast majority of start-ups are surprised by the length of time it takes to source packaging. It is not uncommon for our customers to take 9 months to source/receive their packaging.The number one reason for launch dates being pushed out is – packaging delays! So get onto it early.
Our delivery promise is 4-6 weeks from the time we receive all ingredients and packaging on site.You may have ingredients in your formulation/s that have long lead times, which may need to be factored in. We can discuss this with you based on your specific formulations.
